TUT Global House hosted a Welcome Event for students from Jit Sin High school in Malaysia and Princess Chulabhorn Science High School from Thailand on Thursday, December 12th.
19 students visited TUT via programs for students who think about studying in Japan. The program allows overseas high school students to experience Toyohashi and the university. They meet students living in TUT Global House and can deepen exchanges through games and various activities.
At the December event, students were divided into teams, introduced themselves and got to know each other by playing a ball-carrying game. Everyone then danced traditional Thai dances together. After that, with the theme "Future Gadget", each team refined and developed their ideas. Various diverse ideas were exhibited in their presentations, which were genuinely interesting and exciting.
The event was great fun, and it also served as a good opportunity for high school students to get to know about university life and the Global House. Likewise for the Global House students, it was an opportunity to engage with various opinions and experience how to manage such an event.
